In the Ourika Valley at the foot of the High Atlas, you are a guest in a Berber home and are offered mint tea. The tea is poured from a height and served sweet and fragrant, and in chatting with your host you learn something of local life. It is a warm, personal taste of the region.
Spring, autumn and winter are the months to go. You may be asked to remove your shoes on entering. The tea is sweetened, so ask in advance if you prefer it without sugar.
