Traditional tequila tasting in Mexico City
Mexico City · Mexico
About this experience
In a small workshop in Mexico City, tequila is tasted with an eye to its handmade tradition. Tequilas of different ageing are compared in turn for colour, aroma and flavour. It is a slow tasting focused on the spirit's own character rather than salt and lime.
The city sits at altitude, where alcohol can feel stronger, so pace yourself. Water and a little food alongside are welcome. Smelling then tasting each tequila in turn makes the differences clear. If you walk to the workshop, wear comfortable shoes.
