In the villages of the Mekong Delta near Ben Tre, a motorised tuk tuk known as a Xe Lam takes you along country lanes. You pass gardens, small bridges and canals, watching local life from the road. In the open vehicle, you feel the wind on your face.
Roads can be dusty and bumpy, so bring closed shoes and sunglasses. A thin rain jacket helps in the wet season.
