Watching the train pass through Maeklong Railway Market
Bangkok · Thailand
About this experience
At Maeklong Railway Market, the stalls are set up right beside and over the train tracks. When a train approaches, the vendors quickly pull their stalls back, and the train passes straight through.
Once it has gone, the vendors put their goods out again as if nothing had happened. It is a short, lively stop and one of the most unusual markets you will see.
