Lion Park vehicle game drive to observe rare white lions

In a reserve near Sun City, white lions are watched from a safari vehicle. Their pale, almost snowy coats stand out against the dry yellow grass and make a very different picture from the familiar tawny lion. The vehicle moves quietly while a guide explains the animals' behaviour and how the reserve works.

A hat and sunglasses help in bright hours, and keep the camera ready. Follow the rules about standing and reaching out of the vehicle, which protect you and the animals. Morning and late afternoon light is softer for photographs.
