In Dubai Marina a crane lifts the table and its diners to 50 metres. Suspended in the air, you have the towers of the Marina, the sea and Palm Jumeirah laid out before you. Dining here carries a thrill alongside the view.
Allow an hour and a half. Think in advance if you have a fear of heights. It can be breezy, so bring a thin layer, and secure loose items at the table.
