What to know before you go.
Qasr Al Hosn is the oldest stone-built structure in Abu Dhabi. Mohammed Al Bastaki built it in 1761, and for generations it served as both a royal residence and the seat of government.
Today the fort tells the story of the UAE through exhibitions, cultural performances and carefully restored architecture. Within its walls stands the Cultural Foundation, with art galleries, craft workshops and archives devoted to Emirati culture.
Each year the Qasr Al Hosn Festival fills the site with traditional music, dance, crafts and food.
The site is at Rashid Bin Saeed Street and Sheikh Zayed The First Street in Al Hisn, near the Abu Dhabi Corniche, and public transport reaches it easily. It opens daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Most visits take one to two hours.
The package covers admission, the exhibitions, guided tours, cultural performances and festival entry when the festival is running. Transport, meals, drinks and private photography sessions are not included.
