Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi
Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab world.
What to know before you go.
Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab world. It stands in the Saadiyat Cultural District on Saadiyat Island and tells the shared story of humanity through art, history and culture.
The galleries cover 9,200 square metres and hold permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. Loans from French institutions such as the Musée du Louvre, Musée d'Orsay and Centre Pompidou join the display.
The building is part of the visit. Its dome seems to float, and the waterfront promenade and open-air spaces look out over the Abu Dhabi skyline and the Arabian Gulf.
The museum opens daily from 10:00 to 18:30, with last entry at 17:30. Children under 13 must be with an adult.
Wear comfortable, respectful clothes. Masks may be required under current regulations. Bring a valid ID or passport and your mobile confirmation; a printed copy is not needed. Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries. Transfers and professional guided tours are not included.
